Ashley and Kalina are Irish Twins who love all things yoga. Growing up, they shared everything so it only seemed natural they shared a love of Yoga.
Ashley Gerhard started practicing yoga when she was just 19 years old. The more yoga she did, the more she fell in love with the practice. With a desire to learn more about yoga anatomy, philosophy, and proper alignment in the asanas, she became a yoga instructor. Ashley lives her passion of the sutras through Abhyasa (Devotion) and Vairagya (Surrender)— aiming to give her best while staying unattached to the outcome.
Kalina Converse began yoga to calm her mind, body, and spirit when she started to have children at the age of 23. The more children she had, the more yoga she did. Her passion for yoga grew (as did her family) and she decided to become a yoga instructor. She loves that yoga teaches us to reconnect body and breath, slowing down from our busy lives, and to let go of things that are not serving us—to live every day presently and cherish every moment.
Though different paths led them here, Ashley and Kalina had the same desire to share their love of yoga with others. FireLight Yoga was born in April of 2018.
